I booked the Hyde Park Sydney Pullman Hotel as a treat for my godparents who live up on Bribie Island, QLD, to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
From this experience, both my godparents and I have nothing but praise for the Hyde Park Sydney Pullman Hotel, with everything, from it’s location, rooms, views, staff and service, being spot on. It really was second to none.
I booked an Executive King Suite that offered stunning views over Hyde Park and included daily access to the Executive Lounge for them, serving breakfast and evening drinks with canapes, which my godparents absolutely loved and made full use of.
The Sydney Pullman Executive Lounge is open every evening, from memory, 6-8pm and my godparents have told me they always made sure they were back from their daily activities in plenty of time to be in the lounge as soon as it was open, (getting a little sozzled on the free drinks, no doubt) and enjoying the impressively large, buffet style canape selection, while soaking up the amazing view of Hyde Park looking across to the Cenotaph, the city centre and Centre Point Tower and down towards Macquarie Street (Such a shame you can’t see the Opera house, hey ho).
I joined them there one evening as they were welcome to invite guests and instantly I could see the appeal, with us all getting quite tipsy on the free booze while eating so many of the delicious canapes there was no need for dinner that night. There was only one other couple in the executive lounge, so it almost felt like we had the space to ourselves.
My godparents later took me up to the roof to show me the outdoor swimming pool, spa and views, and I was surprised to learn they had not yet been in either the pool or spa, but they have since informed me they did have a dip in the pool one night.
They then insisted I come check out their room and it’s amazing view, and I have to say the room and view did not disappoint, and had been made up beautifully which they said was the same every day.
My godparents say they will treasure the memory of that visit for the rest of their lives, and it’s all thanks to the Hyde Park Sydney Pullman hotel, so Bravo, Sydney Pullman, job well done.
