The Metro Museum of Art is hands down the BEST place to visit in NYC. I lived there for 2 years for work and while there is tons to see, if you only get to pick one pick the museum! They have things from ALL over the world! Things that you wont see in any other museum anywhere. There is usually a midday rush but if you going early morning or late evening, the place is so spacious that you can take it all in.

I’m a sucker for crowded tourist spots so the first place we’re going to visit is the Statue of Liberty. I’m planning a 7-day trip to New York and these tips have been very helpful. However I’m having troubles with the hotel… I’m going to propose to my girlfriend and I want it to be perfect but still affordable. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated by both me and my soon to be wife :). I’m stuck between Bryant Park and Ludlow…

      Hey Brandon,

thanks for your message and all the best with your proposal. I’m glad I could be of some help. Afraid I can’t help much with hotels as it’s been a while since I’ve been to NYC and I stayed in a very cheap hostel in Chelsea then. Both the Bryant Park and Ludlow look great though. I’d say yes if you took me to stay in either of those! 🙂 Have a great week in New York the 2 of you 🙂
